| Mines resulting from the feeding of Birch leafminer larvae were at least 1/2" wide on European birch in Sewickley this past week. | |
| Boxwood adults were present in Pittsburgh again this week. The use of neonicotinoid insecticides in October or November of 2007 will prevent the cupping on the new growth in 2008. | |

Eounymus scale crawlers were active again this week in the City of Pittsburgh. |

| The crawlers of Pine Needle Scale in the City of Pittsburgh have started to migrate from beneath the adult female's protective covering. | |
